All Streamlight products I've ever purchased have been very durable and worth the price. A cheap product isn't a good product if it can't be depended upon when you really need it.We have been using the Streamlight Propolymer Luxeon flashlights for several years. It is excellent (if not perfect) in our work environment. We usually work in dark, dirty, and wet areas of restaurant kitchens. Use of electric lights in these areas can be dangerous. The Streamlight flashlight provides what law enforcement people could consider "tactical" brightness. We use these lights on a daily basis while testing live electrical circuits. (Don't do this at home, boys and girls.) The LED bulb has never burned out. With Duracell AA alkaline batteries full brightness lasts for at least two weeks. We recently started using Duracell nickel hybride rechargable batteries. The drop in initial brightness is almost imperceptible. I usualy charge them once a week. I have only one small complaint about the reviewed flashlight. The black propolymer looks great when one is wearing formal ware. It is more difficult to find if it falls into a dark corner. If you work in conditions similar to mine, order it in yellow.Bright, compact, easy to use! This great flashlight has been perfect for use at the airport where I work. I can check hangars, do walkarounds of aircraft, light up and read their tail numbers from a good distance, and otherwise safely and confidently perform my duties at night with a very bright and sturdy flashlight that I can carry around in my front pants pocket. You can pay a little more or less for flashlights that are "intrisically safe" if you prefer that for fueling and whatnot. This one is specced for use in certain hazardous locations and I've used it for fueling at night without worry. I dare say it's a step up from some pretty janky flashlights that I've used for the same purpose over the years.Very pleased with the purchase.Been using for years love the durability and brightness. And garentead for life.I still use this everyday, brightness is great near and at reasonable distances, which in my experience is typical for streamlight, I purchased this before I sent my other daily carry light (streamlight) in to streamlight for repair for normal wear and tear. (now that light is a spare)If needed I would purchase again. There warranty is great if ever needed.Best version of this brand flashlight!!! Love it. Just don't drop it too much. The batteries will start to rattle and it won't work all the time. Reinstalling them in a different pattern will work for a bit. Also a piece of cardboard or something wedged inside next to the batteries will help it not rattle. Still worth it. Will work under water, the case and bulb can take a hit.I purchased this to replace a Streamlight that had batteries which leaked onto the LEDs. This one outshined the older version by a lot. Mounted it to my fire helmet and actually used it at the scene of a car accident this past weekend. Bright light, perfect mounting and 4AAs included. Very nice light and look forward to using it more. Also, on a side note, appreciated the perforated plastic packaging to make the normally frustrating blister pack opening process a ton easier.Just died, the on/off switch at the bottom doesnt make contact anymore. Not reliable at all for the money.
